VELscope® VX: Two Minutes That Could Save Your Life
Cornerstone Denture Clinic offers VELscope® VX, which is a natural fluorescent instrument that helps us detect oral disease and cancer not visible under ordinary light. With the VELscope VX, we can find potential problems before they become serious issues. Ask about an oral health exam. The 2 minutes it takes could save your life!
Taking Care of Your Oral Health
Our annual checkups include assessing the patient’s detailed medical and dental history. This is followed by visual and digital examinations of the mouth, head, neck, TMJ, lips, tongue, salivary glands, lymph nodes, and the back of the throat.
Regular dental checkups are also needed to keep your dentures comfortable and in good shape. When you receive your new dentures, you may need further adjustments. You should see your denturist annually for a checkup for the health of the tissues in your mouth and the proper fit of your dentures. You should keep in mind the following:

-
Lower dentures should be relined about every 2 years
-
Upper dentures should be relined about every 3-4 years
-
Dentures should be replaced about every 5 years
Taking Care of Your Dentures

Switch to a denture brush
-
When not in use, keep your dentures safely in a denture case
